Overview
My name is Dylan and I am a freelance copy editor. I've been editing professionally for about three years, and a year ago, I left a career in information technology in order to pursue my passion and be a freelance copy editor.
I've almost entirely worked with LitRPG and gaming novels, but I have done a few standard science fiction and fantasy novels. From childhood on, fantasy, science fiction, and gaming have been major passions of mine, and I've been incredibly interested in LitRPG from the get-go. From Conor Kostick's Avatar Chronicles to much more modern iterations of LitRPG, the genre has become one of my absolute favorites.
Specifically, I excel at taking a manuscript and making it whole and professional. Consistency, punctuation, dialog tags, capitalization, POV, and word usage, among other grammatical issues, will be correct by the time I've finished with the manuscript. This leads to readers being less distracted by errors, which leads to higher ratings and reviews.
While I've worked with a number of different authors, the vast majority of my work has been with Mountaindale Press, an independent publisher specializing in LitRPG.

While I've been editing professionally since late 2016, I hadn't put together any sort of company until May 2017. Even after that date, editing was a potential future career. It wasn't until September 2018 where I took the plunge and began to edit full-time.
