She maintains a 5-star average rating in her services as she always provides exceptional work with a friendly, open, and professional communication style. Kat loves immersing herself in stories, and loves helping writers learn how to tell their stories and get them out into the world!

Kat does not take on projects with the following topics: heavy politics, war, or religion; erotica; heavy, intentional violence toward women and/or children; poetry; heavy sci-fi/high-tech; epic fantasies; space operas; werewolves; biographies/autobiographies; DIY; academic works; self-help; health & fitness; sports.

For critiques of queries and synopses, Kat's rates reflect a typical one-page, single-spaced (under 500 words) query letter and a maximum of 1000 words for a synopsis. She is happy to critique higher-than-typical word counts to help you pare them down for an additional fee.

The single best look at any ms. I've done over the years -- that's nine of them, two in legacy publishers. Kathleen's comments were (are) incisive, clear as distilled water and worth WAY more than she asked for. I only wish I had the time -- or made the time -- to work on the edits she suggests. If I did, no telling where her advice/work could take this project.

Kathleen was brilliant. Her insights into the needs of a literary agent are invaluable, and with her help, I have honed and trimmed my submission documents into something much more concise and appealling.
