Overview
In addition to assuring that all my sites are worry-free for the technophobe, I also insist on all my sites being responsive. That means that not only will they look amazing on your computer, but they adjust to any size, shrinking even to work well on your phone.
Through my work in the Office for Equity and Diversity at the University of Utah, I have developed a critical lens for my design, creating pieces that are both inclusive and sensitive.

University of Utah
I worked for several years in the Office for Equity and Diversity at the University of Utah. As their lead web and graphic designer, I managed several websites and created marketing materials for our programs and events. Working in this arena helped me develop a socially critical lens which I employ in everything I create.
Self-employed
In the decade that I have been freelancing, I've had the opportunity to create a variety of websites, which has allowed me to hone my skills while learning how to customize the product to suit the genre and the clients' unique needs. I also understand that not everyone is tech-friendly, so I do what I can to make every website easy to navigate and maintain for the long run.

Black Graduate Student Association
The intention of this website was to be eye-catching and fun, while still maintaining an air of academic professionalism. The students wanted to be able to grow their community, so other users are allowed to elect to have their information on the site, creating online networking possibilities. Built using Wordpress.

Tender Folk Co.
This Tender Folk Co. was designed to be understated to let the client's artwork take the stage. All elements are as minimal as possible while still allowing the website to be easy to navigate.

Joe Pug
A website designed to showcase the music of the singer/songwriter Joe Pug. This website was built to reflect the style of his music, while incorporating his logo and branding colors. Built on Wordpress.

• Animated album covers that flip to reveal track listings

University of Utah Department of Theatre
Wordpress-powered website built for the Department of Theatre at the University of Utah. As this site is very informational, I had to find ways to be creative in presenting a large amount of text. Each piece of the site is customizable without needing to know code.

• Popup content in homepage header
• People page is maintained through a custom post type, making it easy for the client to update without code
• Photo gallery on production pages
• Blog section
• Contact form that stores in a database
Cultural Connections by Design
This site was created to promote two games developed to help organizations teach their employees about diversity and inclusion. Built on Wordpress, the site is dynamic and unique, however all sections of the content are still able to be edited without the use of code.
Special features:
• Background video header
• Number totals count up as you scroll down to give movement and dynamic action to the pages.
• Contact form that emails the client
• Coded Wordpress Customizer to manage the custom design areas.
• The organizations are managed through a custom post type, so that every time the client visits a new one she can add it to the site without having to manually change the information on the various pages that it is seen on.
