Overview
As a Developmental Editor, Copy Editor, and Proofreader, I have a genuine passion for this industry and strive to do justice to every collaboration I participate in. I am fully invested in the success of my authors and their manuscripts, and for that reason, my edits are extensive and honest. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with a variety of authors from all backgrounds, genres, and writing experiences, helping over 150 authors edit their manuscripts and publish their books nationwide. Most books I edit can be found on major platforms, such as Amazon, IngramSpark, Kobo, Goodreads, and Barnes & Noble, many of which, even went on to hold the best sellers' rank in their book's category.
Because I specialize in editing both Nonfiction and Fiction manuscripts, I am well-versed in editing content with an ability to keep the author's voice and stylistic preference in mind first and foremost. My goal is not to rewrite your book (thus writing you out!), but instead, to offer my professional opinion on how to strengthen its elements.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
For all projects and/or requests, I offer Zoom calls for either a 'meet and greet' or to discuss my edits and next steps. During active contracts, I send weekly messages so you can stay up-to-date on my progress. Lastly, all hands-on edits are marked by tracked-changes so you can see 100% of my work and all explanations and ideas can be found attached to the document using in-chapter comments.
Services I offer:
--> Editorial Assessment: This level is free of hands-on edits and is designed to get your manuscript ready for the more extensive editing levels. I will use in-chapter comments to note elements that are working exceptionally well and elements that could benefit from adjusting. I will then provide a detailed brief of each chapter to summarize these items. Once I return your manuscript and my brief, you will be able to lean on your strengths while making revisions to improve the rest of the manuscript.
--> Developmental Editing (first level of editing): This is the most in-depth and extensive editing level. I focus on big-picture elements of the story that play a deeper role in your manuscript development. This includes plot holes, character arcs, pacing, action sequences, and dialogue.
--> Copy Editing (second level of editing): This includes a more detailed version of Proofreading where I will ensure your manuscript reads accurately, clearly, and correctly. This includes looking at tone, style, and consistency.
--> Proofreading (third and final round of editing): I will target any final inconsistencies that remain, including spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, inconsistencies in style or point of view, and spacing/ paragraph issues

Self-employed
As an MRE of a hybrid publishing company, I assist groups of authors through the last half of their publishing journey, starting with campaigning to raise their publishing funds, editing their books, working on outer elements such as cover design and book description, to helping them launch their books and develop their marketing plans.
Self-employed
As a freelance editor, I work to maintain versatile contracts that involve editing a project with set reviewing needs. These projects include blog posts, manuscripts, event speeches, manuals, educational content, and social media posts.
